A tiny wish from the big bucket

A change in one’s personality unless it’s for the better is never welcome. Having worn XS all my life, I am now buying an M or an L which is fast becoming a concern. This is not a concern because of the way I look but more because a person with arthritis and other issues is just going to land up at the doctors more often if they choose to continue with a sedentary lifestyle.
I blamed everyone around for my weight issue but unfortunately just playing the blame game isn’t going to land me anywhere. Realizations are never happy but are the first definitive step to achieving anything.
Having failed miserably so far I’ve decided to give it my heart and soul and pursue it this one last time. I’ll be turning 25 next month but this time instead of spending it all on clothes and accessories I’ve decided to invest in a gym.
Talking of gyms, I hate all forms of excercise except swimming but all my efforts to find myself a decent pool nearby have gone in vain. I therefore decided to opt for Gold’s Gym which is almost a stone’s throw from where I live. The plan and trainer were fixed the day before and both these are a huge investment considering almost half my salary would be going there for the first month.
I’ve decided to be a good girl and stick to the plan. The plan is to have as much home cooked, nutritious food and be steady with my exercise routine. Initially, I’ll be gymming six days a week of which three days are going to be dedicated to strength training and another three for cardio. My trainer, for the half an hour we spoke looks like someone who’ll be able to handle my arthritis and will be able to push me to achieve my goal.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for now and hoping to hit the gym for the three trial classes from Tuesday. Hope this is the last leg of my woes when it comes to my weight issues. I get joy out of challenging and then rewarding myself. Since the challenge is fixed the reward also had to be decided upon. The plan for now is to hit Goa the day I manage to lose the ten kgs I am aiming for. I am setting myself a goal for April first week.
Wont bore you guys any further but would love it if you could shower some love and push me to accomplishing this feat. J

  2. Doesn't happen that way Aaron, I am bad at keeping promises I make to myself. The only way I could see myself doing this was by maintaining a journal.

  5. All the very best. You could also try running outside for 30 minutes and aim for maybe 20kms a week. This will be a cake walk for you given that you are a self motivated person.

Well keep posting your feelings, updates here and all of us will encourage and push you :) I used to go to Gold's Gym while i was in Bangalore (the HSR Layout branch) and loved the attention and hard work they do. And my trainer was a very motivating person too. So just focus on the reward/award/goal and keep doing it!! Sending lots of will power your way :)
